By booking or attending a session at Embody Acupuncture, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Practitioner Standards

All sessions are provided in accordance with professional and ethical standards consistent with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and applicable Australian healthcare guidelines.

We are committed to providing care that is safe, respectful, and centred around your individual needs.

2. Bookings

Appointments may be made online, by phone, or via email.

A confirmation will be provided prior to your scheduled session. We kindly ask that you arrive on time to allow for the full duration of your session.

Late arrival may result in a shortened session, in consideration of other clients.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes.

  • Late cancellations may incur a fee

  • Missed appointments may be charged in full

This allows us to honour the time set aside for your session and for others in our care.

4. Fees & Payments

Payment is required at the time of your session unless otherwise arranged.

We accept EFTPOS, Healthfunds and cash.

5. Refunds

Our services are provided in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

  • Sessions that have been completed are not refundable

  • If a service is not provided with due care and skill, appropriate remedies will be offered where required

6. Informed Consent

Prior to your session, you will be provided with information regarding the nature of care, including any relevant considerations.

By proceeding, you acknowledge that you:

  • Understand the information provided

  • Have had the opportunity to ask questions

  • Provide your voluntary consent

You may withdraw your consent at any time.

7. Health Disclaimer

Acupuncture is provided as a complementary therapy to support general health and wellbeing.

  • It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

  • For ongoing or serious concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare provider

  • In the case of an emergency, please call 000

8. Limitation of Liability

All care is provided with appropriate professional standards and consideration.

By attending a session, you acknowledge that:

  • All healthcare services carry some level of inherent risk

  • Embody Acupuncture is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss

Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy laws.

10. Changes to Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.

The most current version will always be available on our website. Continued engagement with our services indicates acceptance of any updates.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
